Smoothies are one of our go-to meals. People usually look at us like, "that's it?" But they are packed with macro and micro nutrients that keep our blood sugar level, hormones steady and gut microbiome feasting, not to mention us feeling full! If you put your smoothie together properly, you should feel full and satisfied. These smoothie cubes make smoothies to-go even faster! There's only a few minutes of prep work for about 6 days worth of pre-made smoothies. All you do is add your liquid and any powders with the cube, blend it, and off you go. With these smoothie cubes you eliminate your greens going bad before you get to them. You preserve their nutrients and keep them fresh to nourish your body. We are all about eliminating waste! They also add a nice cold, icy-ness to the smoothie.
- We add TONS of mixed greens to the blender first. Fill up that blender!
- Then we mix in about 2C of berries for a total of about 1/3C per day.
- Next we add in around 6oz of healthy fat for about 2 tbsp.per day. Our go-to fat is Brain Octane or coconut oil.
When we blend our smoothie, we had protein powder, resistant starch powder and unsweetened nut milk (for the exact products we use, see below). These cubes make so much less mess and are so fast to whip together. No more, "I don't have time to be healthy" excuses.
