We have literally been swamped lately! I'm dancing in another show and Kyle has been holding everything together while I run back and fourth to rehearsals. It seems like we've just been passing one another and haven't had a lot of time to really sit and catch up. So tonight, we sat around a charcuterie plate with a couple of glasses of Dry Farm Wine and just chatted. I'll be fully honest, I didn't want to cook! Sometimes right in the middle of chaos, you have to MAKE time for one another. This was the perfect way to connect.
One of the best parts of a charcuterie board is how nice they present! But also, you don't have to settle for one thing. You can have a medley. Its basically a meal-sized snack. It doesn't get much better than that! I put together a smorgasbord of some of our favorite finger foods. Quick and easy! The goal was to fill us up with finger foods while still eating healthy. So here's what our charcuterie board consisted of:
- Berries (blueberries and raspberries)
- Mixed Nuts
- Bubbies Pickles
- Endangered Species 88% Dark Chocolate
- Olives
- Hard Boiled Eggs
- Jillz Crackers
- Tomatoes with balsamic vinegar and goat cheese
- Cheese
You could also add veggies, chips, meats, avocado. Just google charcuterie boards and you'll have lots of inspiration! But the best part of it is that it doesn't require a lot of planning. Just use what you have! Its the perfect way to catch up. Its just the kind of food that should be shared and talked around.
