It’s funny how random cravings pop into your head from out of nowhere. The other day I kept thinking how good an egg roll sounded. I can’t tell you the last time I’ve eaten an egg roll, but for some reason it was popping into my cravings. I never deprive myself. We always say, “it’s not about deprivation, its about recreation.” When I crave something, I make a version of it that will satisfy my cravings. This Egg Roll-less Bowl was just what I needed. Here’s how you make it.
- 2 sausage rolls (casing removed)
- 1 small head of green cabbage
- 1/2 small head of purple cabbage
- 2 green onions chopped
- Red Pepper Flakes
- 1/4C Coconut Secrets Coconut Aminos
- 4 tbsp Coconut Secrets Teriyaki Sauce
- 1/4C Primal Kitchens Ketchup
- 1 scoop Beef Collagen
- splash Apple Cider Vinegar
- Cook sausage.
- In separate pan, add chopped purple and green cabbage with coconut aminos to saturate. Cook until tender.
- Add sausage to cabbage.
- In saucepan, add coconut aminos, teriyaki, ketchup and apple cider vinegar. Mix well until slightly bubbling. Add in collagen and mix well, set aside. As it cools, it will begin to thicken.
- When serving, pour sauce over cabbage and sausage mix. Top with green onions and red pepper flakes.
