One of Kyle's bucket list items was to go to a Final Four game. It's something he has talked about forever. When Michigan State played Duke, Kyle told said, "if they win we're going!" I agreed, secretly thinking they were not going to win that game. Come on! It's Duke! It was the most exciting ending and of course immediately after MSU won, Kyle said, "get your computer out! We're going!" So, off to Minneapolis we and my family went. Kyle's enthusiasm suckered everyone in. It was a completely different experience to be in the stadium! The excitement was palpable. Unfortunately, MSU lost to Texas Tech, which was a total heartache. We were really bummed, but couldn't help but still be excited because WE WERE THERE! The up-side for me was the Mall of America was across the street from our hotel. We both got to live out our dreams. ha! Something for everyone! We ended up going to the final game between Texas Tech and Virginia which was a blast, especially since we didn't have any pressure. We ended up jumping on Texas Tech's bandwagon. So we lost twice. But we had a blast while doing it. It was a lot of fun to watch Kyle check off this dream. However, now he has a new dream; to go to a final four game and win. This could be on the bucket list forever.
